04 May GSCWD, Red Cross Donates three (3) Drumvatories to GSC Bulaong Terminal
Three (3) drumvatories were successfully turned-over to GSC Bulaong Terminal last June 26, 2020. The said occasion was made possible through the combined efforts of General Santos City Water District and Philippine Red Cross.
During the turn-over ceremony, Mr. Jong Facurib, OIC for City Terminal Operation, extended his gratitude to GSCWD for donating the drumvatories.
“These drumvatories will be a big help to us since we will be opening the terminal soon. Now, it will be easier and more convenient to the public to follow our safety protocols given the additional handwashing facilities”, said Mr. Facurib.
Aside from the drumvatories, Red Cross Philippines also put up big posters about proper handwashing which will serve as guide to the people on how to properly wash their hands.
“We, in GSCWD; supports our local government in promoting proper sanitation and hygiene to our fellow Generals especially now that we have a pandemic. We are glad to partner with the Philippine Red Cross in making sure that there will be sufficient handwashing facilities to the public places in our city. We hope that we can inspire other organizations to also extend help to the LGU during this trying times”, said Engr. Arn B. Gellangarin, General Manager.
Drumvatories were placed near the entrances of the terminal purposely to encourage the public commuters to do frequent handwashing and practice proper sanitation and hygiene to help prevent the spread of CoVid-19 and other diseases.
