05 May LGU-GenSan receives Relief Support during City’s Lockdown
In support to the City Local Government’s relief effort during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), General Santos City Water District donated 46 sacks of rice. The rice donation was turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) last April 16, 2020.
“We empathize with our fellow Generals who have the hardest time dealing with the pandemic’s impacts on our health, services and economy. We hope that through this initiative, we can ease a bit of their burden”, said Engr. Arn B. Gellangarin, General Manager.
Enrique Voltaire A. Tiu, Executive Assistant IV, extended his appreciation on behalf of the mayor and assured that the donated rice will reach to the intended beneficiaries, especially to the poor and vulnerable families who have been most affected by the ongoing crisis.
Meanwhile, GSCWD also expressed support to its entire workforce by providing groceries and vitamins. As a water service company which service and functions are considered essential and are absolutely necessary, GSCWD needs to have its employees ready and healthy to cater concerns and ensure reliable water supply to the city specifically in this time of pandemic.
